Annual Working Party
Firstly a very big thank you to everyone who gave their time over the last two weekends to help with our winter school working party.
With parents, teachers, pupils, former pupils and members of the community we managed to complete a lot of winter maintenance jobs both in and outside the school.
The image below shows the temporary fence that has been erected around the field/playground boarder to address failures of the hedging whilst we wait for Powys to address erect a new boundary fencing.
A big thank you goes out to both Ceri Graham and Jo Moller who both provided snacks and lunch for all the hard workers.
Phil Graham has offered to reline the markings on the play area as soon as the weather is dry enough to do so. As well as making a wooden table top to secure to one of the large tractor tyres.
If anyone has any idea or suggestions for enhancements and improvements that they can suggest or provide then we would love to hear from you.

Nativity Play At Llangedwyn Church
After an exciting term the school rounded off festivities with a wonderful Christmas Nativity play hoisted in the beautiful setting of Llagedwyn Church. Despite illness sweeping through some of the class the children adapted to the challenge well and delivered a wonderful performance, which was followed by refreshments curtsy of Phil and Ceri from Artisans Coffee Shop.
For those that missed this event here are a couple of snaps that were taken on the evening.

New i Pads Arrive
Following the success of fund raising events over the summer of 2019 the school together with the PTFA were able to order the first of our new Apple i pads. These are additions to the existing ones in the school and the aim over the coming year is to strive to secure enough funding to provide a device for every child in the school to use.
This delivery of six mainly funded by the proceeds of the fun day give us a solid start to this campaign.
Anyone with fund raising idea, are more than welcome to contact Joanne Moller, or Ceri Graham via the school as they would be delighted to hear from you.

Our First Summer Fun Day
Llangedwyn School's first summer fun day was a great success with a lot of smiling happy faces to be seen enjoying the sun, BBQ games and band on a very sunny playing field.
The children enterprise stalls did very well and proved popular, the general feedback from people and stall holders attending was very positive and a s result 2020 is looks likely to see this event repeated.
In total the event raised just over £2,000 by the PTFA (parents, teachers, friends association) who have used the funds to purchase additional I pads for the school together with maths equipment.
A big thank you to all evolved who helped make this day such a great success.
